Seven families from the Monroe neighborhood, in Hart county, left last Thursday for Texas and Oklahoma. The Fiscal Court of Warren county purchased a new steam roller last week for $3,500 to be used in working the county's roads. The residence of Mr. Jack Edley, in the Mt. Victor neighborhood, of Warren county, was destroyed by fire Friday. No insurance. The dwelling of Mr. Matt Smith, near Martinsburg, Monroe county, was destroyed by fire last Friday night, entailing a loss of $2,000. Mr. Price Jackson, Mt Ariel, Allen county, while hunting, was accidentally shot and killed by his nephew, Charles Thomas. Miss Effie M Gillock and Mr. E A Thomas, of Allen county were married at the home of the bride, in Walnut creek community. Virgil Duggins, a prisoner in the Munfordville jail, sawed his way out and made his escape, but was captured at Elizabethtown and brought back. Mr. Seymour H Brown and Miss Genevieve Curd, prominent young society folks of Bowling Green, will be married at the bride's home in that city tomorrow. A rumor is current in Bowling Green that Mr. Del Coyle, formerly of this place, is shortly to be married, to a young lady in Frankfort, Ky., where he is at present employed on the Kentucky State Journal. Mr G R Walker and Miss Virgie Overall were married Sunday at the Baptist church in Scottsville. This came as a surprise to their fdriends, as Miss Overall was to leve Monday for her home in Murfreesboro. Mr. Walker owns considerable property at Scottsville.
