Name: Harold Lynn Arterburn Residence: Glasgow Ky Died: Monday, 8 Dec 2003, Arlington TX, age 81 Born: 4 March 1922 Monroe Co KY Son of the late Virgil Evans and Ora Lee Whitlow Arterburn After graduating from Temple Hill High School, he worked in various positions including J J Newberry, Houchens Grocery and Glenn L Martin Aircraft in Baltimore MD. U S Army veteran of WWII where he served three years in the military police, both stateside and also in both foreign theatres in germany, France, Marshall Island and Okinawa. Retired supervisor at Handmacher Fashions after 35 years of service, member Faith United Methodist Church where he had served in many capacities including Chairman of the Board, Chairman of the Trustees and served on the Pastor-Parish Committee. Member of the Fraternal Order of Police, charter member Glasgow Auxiliary Police. Held many ranks with the auxiliary police including chief for two years, retired after 23 years of service. 32nd degree Mason, member Allen Lodge #24, FAM, Louisville Scottinh Rite and Hart and Barren Scottish Rite. A funeral director, had been associated with the Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home since 1970. Received his funeral director license in 1994. Survivors: Daughters: Marla Lynn Williams and husband of Arlington TX and Jolana Wilson Myers and her husband Bob of Ringold GA Grandchildren; Brant and Hunter Williams, Brandon and Ryan Burris and his wife Treshaun Great-grandchildren: Austin and Caleb Burris Brother: Ferrell Arterburn and wife Roxie of Glasgow Nephew: Dan Arterburn and wife Alice of Nashville TN Nieces: Sue Lewis and Debbie Ritter and her husband Johnny of Glasgow.
