Born: Summer Shade KY
Son of the late Dr Samuel Medford Bowman and Mrs. Victoria Word Bowman Followed 
in the footsteps of his father and eldest brother in the medical profession. 
Attended Western Kentucky University and the University of Louisville Dental 
School, graduated 1942. Served four years in the US Army Air Force during WW 
II, European Theatre of Operatioin and then began the practice of denistry 
serving the people of this area for over 50 years.

Wife: Janice McWherter Bowman
Son: . R. K. Bowman and wife Alexis Demumbrun Bowman of Glasgow
Daughter: Sondra Bowman Dickinson and husband Denny of Glasgow
Daughter-in-law: Susan Hunter Bowman of Festus MO
Seven grandchildren: Dawn Dickinson Reynolds, Sam Day Dickinson, Jay Bowman, 
Amy Bowman, Emily Bowman, Alex Bowman and Anna Dickinson Four 
great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death also by:

Two brothers and wives: Dr Medfdord Cecil Bowman and wife Lois and Clyde Kenton 
Bowman and wife Betty
Services: Sunday, 27 Feb 2005, 2 pm, A F Crow and Son Funeral Home, burial 
Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
