"DEATH ENDS CAREER OF USEFUL CITIZEN. "Mr. Felix N. Bradford died at his residence on Brown Street last Sunday afternoon, after a lingering illness from heart disease. He was sixty-six years of age, and spent practically all his life in Glasgow, where he was born and reared. "He first engaged in the tannery business, on the lot where Mr. G. H. Davis now lives on Broadway, then in the harness and saddle business, and then in the hardware business, which he has been engaged in for a generation, and has been very successful. "He was one of the oldest and most successful business men in Glasgow. He was prominent in the banking business as well, being for years a director in the Farmers National Bank, and in its reorganization recently, was made a vice president. He and his brother, Mr. B. F. Bradford have been proprietors of the hardware firm of Bradford Bros. for many years, but a year or so ago, he sold the business to his brother and son, who are now conducting the business, and since then has been taking life easy. "He is survived by his wife, who was Miss Emma Myers, and one daughter, Mrs. Terry L. Hatchett of this place. He also leaves two brothers and two sisters, Messrs. Charley Bradford, three miles out the Cave City road, Ben F. Bradford and Miss Lizzie Bradford of this place, Mrs. Bell Waters of Bowling Green. "Mr. Bradford was a deacon in the Baptist church, and very active in the business affairs of the church, in which he had a large influence. Mr. Bradford will be greatly missed in both civil and religious life in Barren county. "Funeral services were held in the Baptist church, Tuesday morning, conducted by Rev. J. A. Gaines, assisted by Eld. T. H. Alderson, and burial was in the Glasgow cemetery."
