Kittie or Katie BECK - 1862 - 1940 "Funeral services for Mrs. Kittie Beck, 78, widow of Mr. Robert Beck, who died at his home on Bryant Street in this city on Tuesday, Jan. 2, were conducted at the Methodist Church here Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. R. W. Raaf in charge. Burial was in the Hiseville cemetery beside her husband. "Mrs. Beck died at the Samson Community Hospital Saturday morning around 2 o'clock. She had been in ill health several years and was admitted to the hospital for treatment last Friday morning. "Several nieces are the closest relatives surviving. Pallbearers were Messrs Roy Grinstead, Geo. Redford, Leonard Furlong, Ervin Houchens, E. L. Kerley and K. M. Chambers." On the stone at Hiseville Cemetery she is shown as Katie. It appears that both she and her husband died days apart. "A daughter of the late Mr. Henderson Arterburn, she was a native of Monroe county. She was married to Mr. Beck in St. Louis and later moved to Barren county where she has resided for the past sixty years. Mrs. Beck was widely known throughout the county. She made a profession of faith in Christ early in life. Additional Comments: NOTE: I have no connection, no further information and am not seeking additional information.
