Death was caused by complications. "For the past thirty years, Mr. Berry had been a fireman on the Glasgow branch, L&N railroad and ill health forced his retirement in August of this year. "Prior to becoming a railroader, Mr. Berry operated a thrashing machine and was at one time employed by the county in the construction of various rural roads. He was kind and affable and always ready to joke with a friend. Mr. Berry's friends were legion in every walk of life and his passing will be mourned by a host of acquaintances throughout this section. "He was married to Miss Rosie McGlocklin when a young man. She succeeded him to the grave four years ago. Mr. Berry resided on Leslie Avenue in Glasgow until about a year ago when he moved to the South Fork section with his son. "Besides his son, Mr. William Berry, he is survived by another son, Mr. George Berry, of Jeffersonville, Ind., a daughter, Mrs. Clyde Lawrence, Glasgow; two brothers, Messrs. Jewell Berry, Glasgow, and Clarence Berry, Louisville; two sisters, Mrs. Will Chamberlain, South Fork and Mrs. Herman DeBuhr, Hunnewell, Kansas.
