Name: Joel Wesley Bowles
Residence: Summer Shade, KY
Died: 25 July 1973, killed in a tractor accident on his farm on Route 2. The 
tractor reportedly overturned on the victim and he was dead at the scene of the 
accident. Age 20.
Survivors:
Wife: Mrs. Katie Garmon Bowles
Parents: Mr and Mrs. Joe Bowles, Summer Shade
Brother; Benjamin Bowles, at home
Sisters: Monica Bowles and Pam Bowles, both at home
Services: 1 pm Friday, Summer Shade Christian Church, McMurtrey Funeral Home, 
burial Summer Shade Cemetery.
