Member Dover Baptist Church, served as Deacon for 52 years and treasurer for 
42 years. Member DAV, Chapter 20 of Glasgow, owner and operator of Bowman's 
T V & Appliance. Veteran of WW II, served U S Army.
Survivors:
Wife of 55 years: Ada Proffitt Bowman
Sons: Lesie and wife Arlinda of Glasgow and Gary and wife Pat of Louisville 
KY
Brothers: Garnett of GA, Wendell of FL, Wallace of Louisville and Bill of 
Glasgow
Sisters: Barbara Woosnam and Wanda Robertson, both of Owensboro KY
Grandchildren: Eric Bowman of Glasgow and Christopher Bowman of Louisville
Great-grandchildren: Kalen Bowman of Glasgow and Nora Bowman of Louisville
Step-grandson: Jamie Guy of Glasgow
Preceded in death also by:
Brother: Ernest Bowman
Sisters: Earlene Carver, Wynama Jacob and Clora Williamson.

Services: 2 pm Sunday, 20 July 2003, A F Crow and Son Funeral Home, burial 
Poplar Log Cemetery.
