Unknown Glasgow newspaper, found in old scrap book.
"Mr. John Bridges died July 27, 1908, age 56. Lived Beckton section. Died of 
injuries received by explosion of dynamite on Barren River. Leaves a widow and 
2 small children. Interred in Steffey burying ground in Beckton country."

1852-1908, stone erected by his daughter
