"Death of a Much Beloved Young Lady. On August sixth the death angel visited the home of Mr. J. H. Nuckols and took from them the eldest daughter, Miss Dexter. "She had been confined to her bed for three weeks with typhoid fever and her condition was thought to be much better until Wednesday at five a.m., when she became alarmingly worse. She died that afternoon at four o'clock. She was twenty-two years old. "No young lady was possessed with a more loveable disposition which won for her a host of friends. She treated everyone so kind that she was loved by every one with whom she was associated. She as home loving and considered it a great virtue to have an abundance of necessities that would make home happy. "She will be missed by the circle of young folks of which she was a favorite, she will be missed by the older people who esteemed her for her genial, sociable disposition; and she will surely be missed by her father, mother, brothers and sisters who have our entire sympathy. "She is survived by her father and mother, four sisters, Edna, Maud, Lucille and Mallie, and three brothers, Paul, Jessee and Leon, and a host of relatives. "After funeral services Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Givin she was laid to rest at the Peden graveyard before a large concourse of relatives and friends."
