"Mrs. W. H. Clark died at her home at Clark's mill, on the outskirts of Coral Hill, Saturday evening last at 6 o'clock. Mrs. Clark was the wife of Mr. W. H. Clark, the well-known mill-man, and was one of the best women in the county. She leaves a husband and ten children to mourn her loss. "The funeral was preached Sunday evening at 3 o'clock by Elder J. C. Hall, after which the remains were interred in the Gatewood graveyard near where Mrs. Clark lived. The attendance at the funeral was possibly the largest ever seen in that section."
