Glasgow Times, Tuesday, 29 Dec 1914.
"BURNED TO DEATH. Mrs. Geo. Cross, an estimable lady living in the Nobob 
country, happened to a fearful accident one day last week. She was standing in 
front of an open fire, when her clothing caught fire and she was so badly 
burned that she died later.

"She was a young woman about thirty years and was held in the highest esteem by 
all. Before her marriage she was a Miss Harper, of Cave City.

"She is survived by her husband and three children. The remains were interred 
in the cemetery at Union."
