Name: Willie C. "O Cleatis" Cross 
Residence: Wolcott IN
Died: Sunday, 8 May 2005, Jasper County Hospital, Rensselaer IN, age 80, had
been in failing health the last couple of months.
Born: 5 December 1924 in Glasgow
Son of the late Jessie and Anna Pearl (Bruton) Cross
Farmed all his life. After retirement, owned his own seal coat company. Liked
toride his motor scooter around town, enjoyed fishing and sitting in his porch
swing. Married to Lois Imogene "Gene" Wheeler on 15 Janury 1944 in Lafayette IN.
She died 19 April 2002.
Survivors:
Children: Willie J Cross and wife Carole, Bob Cross and wife Cathy, Lisa
Williams and husband Ed, all of Wolcott, and Judy Firkins-McKay and husband
Leroy of Remington IN, Phyllis Hensley and husband John of Rensselaer and
Loretta Martin and husband Jimmy of LaPorte IN 21 grandchildren, 23
great-grandchildren. Preceded also in death by: Two infant sons, three
grandchildren, two great-grandchildren Four Brothers: Harley, Herman, Cecil and
Clayton Cross Two sisters: Lucille Fields and a sister who died in early
childhood, Mary Elizabeth Cross
Services: Thursday, 12 May 2005, 10 am, Foster-Clapper Funeral Home in Wolcott,
interment in Bedford Cemetery in Monon IN.
