(From Unknown Glasgow KY newspaper, found in old scrapbook) "Death of Mrs. Amy Cooksey Dearing. Mrs. Amy Cooksey Dearing, in her 25th year, did at the Deaconess Hospital, Louisville, Friday of last week at 11:30 o'clock after an illness of two weeks. "Surviving are her husband, Mr. L. B. Dearing; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Cooksey; two sisters, Mrs Ed Jolly, Mrs. G R Story, and one brother, Mr. Cecil Cooksey, all of this place. Mrs. Dearing was a member of the South Fork Baptist Church. "Funeral services were held at the residence of her parents, Sunday afternoon at two o'clock by Rev. J. Piercey and Bro. Taylor. Burial was in Glasgow cemetery. "Mrs. Dearing was one of the finest young women Glasgow ever knew. She was a loyal, true friend, a loving companion, and her untimely death cast a pall of sorrow over the whole community."
