OBIT: Katherine Davidson, Barren Co. ------------------------------------------------------------ Submitted by E-mail Registry submittor Sandi Gorin Date: 28 August 2003 ------------------------------------------------------------ NOTE: I have no connection, no further information and am not seeking additional information. "Mrs. Katherine Davidson Dead. "Mrs. Katherine Davidson died suddenly at her home on Green street, Sunday night, of acute indigestion. Mrs. Davidson fell and broke her arm about two weeks ago, however, the injury had healed and that was in no way attributed to her death. She was up walking about, went to the dining room the day she died and was in unusual good health. During the day, she felt sick several times, but the family felt no real alarm, and about nine o'clock, Sunday night, she was taken suddenly ill and died in about five minutes. "Mrs. Davidson was a most excellent woman - one of the best thatever lived - a devout christian, being a life long member of the Baptist church, and a loving, devoted mother, having reared a large family, and her sons are some of the leading, substantial business men of the town. "Mrs. Davidson was Miss Katherine Jackman, daughter of Mr. WIlliam Jackman, of Oil City country, and was sixty-eight years old at the time of her death. Her sisters are: Mrs. Ben Steffey, of Horse Cave; Mrs. Tom Riherd, of Glasgow Junction; Mrs. Shipley, of Glasgow Junction; Mrs. Allan of Oil City; and Mrs. William Page, of Glasgow. The children surviving are: Miss Mattie Belle Davidson, Mrs. Wirt Comer, of Nashville; Mrs. Warner Gardner, Messrs. Price Davidson, Herbert Davidson, B. G. Davidson, of Bowling Green; and W. J. Davidson of Burnside, Ky. "No arrangements have yet been made as to the funeral services, as all the children have not yet arrived." Unable to locate, taken from unknown and undated Glasgow newspaper, from files of late researcher, Eva Coe Peden. ************************************************************************* USGENWEB ARCHIVES NOTICE: These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by any other organization or persons.
