Mary Jane EVERETT - 1900 "GOOD WOMAN GONE. Mrs. Mary Jane Everett, widow of the late Mr. Samuel Everett, died at the old family residence - the home of her son - Mr. Ben Everett - in the South Fork country, last Thursday night, after a long illness. The funeral services were conducted [by] Rev. J. P. Brooks and Jas. Chenault, last Friday afternoon, in the presence of a large concourse of relatives and friends, and the interment took place at the Davidson old burying ground on the Nashville Pike. "Mrs. Everett was seventy-three [years] of age at the time of her death, and was the last member of a large and honored family to pass away. She was a most estimable lady and a devout christian, having in early young dedicated her life to the Master's cause and lived close to his teachings. "Mrs. Everett was a granddaughter of Alexander Davidson, who had the honor of representing Barren county in the first constitutional convention of Kentucky. "She leaves surviving four children, namely: Mrs. Thompson Everett, of the Hiseville country, Mrs. Wm. Davidson, and Messrs Billy and Ben Everett, of the South Fork country." She is not buried in the Davidson Cemeteries. However, there is a Mary Jane Everett buried in one of the Everett Cemeteries, 11 July 1828 - 16 Sept 1900. Samuel Everett is also buried there.
