"Mrs. Margaret A. Francis, wife of Mr. W. C. Francis of this place, died at her 
home on College Street, last Thursday morning, at an advanced age. Before her 
marriage she was Miss Margaret Christmas, and was born and reared in the 
Roseville country. She is survived by five children: Esq. Sam B. Francis, 
magistrate in the Glasgow district, Messrs. Cooksey, Paul, Berry D. Francis and 
Mrs. Charley Moran, all four of California. She is also survived by her mother, 
Mrs. Sallie Christmas, who lived with Mrs. Munday, four brothers and one 
sister, Messrs Ike and Ish Christmas, the well known merchants of this place, 
Dick Christmas and Mrs. Tom Munday of Roseville, Berry Christmas of California. 
Mrs. Christmas [sic] as a membser of the Baptist Church and was a most devout 
and excellent lady. Funeral services were postponed until Tuesday morning 
awaiting the arrival of her son from California and burial was in the cemetery 
at Cedar Grove."
