Glasgow (KY) Times, Tuesday, 7 July 1936.
"Died Last Night. Mrs. Laura Helen Greer, widow of the late Jake Greer, died at 
her home near Etoile last night at seven o'clock. She was 76 years old. She is 
survived by four daughters, Ms. Otha Stone of Warren County, Mrs. Roy Osborn of 
this County, Mrs. Clara Smith of Etoile, and Mrs. Peg Houchens, Peter Creek; 
and one son, Hildreth Greer of Etoile. Funeral services were conducted by Caney 
Fork Church by the Rev. Carter this afternoon at two o'clock, and interment was 
in the cemetery there."
