"Mrs. Nannie Goodman died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Ed Mansfield, in Glasgow, at an advanced age. She was born and reared out the Tompkinsville road on Boyd's Creek and was Miss Nannie Watson, whose parents died many years ago leaving a large family. These have now all passed away except one brother and one sister. Mr. J. E. Watson, the well known tomb stone man, and Mrs. Mansfield, at whose home she died. She was the widow of the late Rev. J. A. Goodman, a Methodist minister, who died several years ago at Columbia. They had one son, who died leaving one son, Mr. Raymond Goodman of Joplin, Mo., who was here at the death and funeral of his grand-mother. Mrs. Goodman was a member of the Methodist Church and was a pure Christian lady, who numbered her friends by her acquaintenances. Funeral services were held at the residence here Sunday afternoon by Rev. J. L. Piercy, and on Monday morning the remains were taken by train to Columbia for burial beside those of her late husband. They were accompanied from this place by Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Watson, Mr. Ruel Dotson, a nephew, and Mr. Raymond Goodman, the grandson."
