"Mrs. J. E. Goff Dies. Mrs. Jas. E. Goff died at the home of her husband in the Hisville country last Saturday night from stomach trouble. She had been ill for a year or two, had had one serious operation performed and her death was not unexpected. Mrs. Goff was before her marriage, Miss Irene Thomas, a sister of the lamented Rev. J. C. Thomas. She is survived by her husband and three children, the later of whom are Messrs. Arlice and Joe and Miss Pauline Goff. "Mrs. Goff was a very fine lady, greatly loved and esteemed, and was a devout member of the Baptist church. She was about fifty years old at her death. "The remains were interred in the Hiseville cemetery Sunday evening last after funeral services at the family residence by Rev. W. H. WIlliams at 3 o'clock."
