Obituary of Joseph H. Howard, 1897, Barren Co. Submitted by Sandi Gorin NOTE: I have no connection, no further information and am not seeking additional information. "Once more we are called to write about the death of one of our citizens. This time, Mr. J. H. Howard, who fell before the icy hand of death on Thursday morning. He had been a citizen of this place for quite a while, and was highly esteemed by all who knew him. It seems tha the writer had had to inform the solemn duty of writing of more deaths than any one of the other correspondents. Those who have been called to their reward were some of our most highly respected citizens. There is not a man in Hiseville who is as widely known as a high gentleman that Judge Joseph Howard was. He leaves a wife and several children to mark his death. Let us pray God that He will bless the bereaved - and that He may uphold them in their grief. The remains were interred in the cemetery at this place last Friday morning at 10 o'clock. (Hiseville correspondent). Unable to locate.
