In Celina, Tenn., Dec. 16th 1874, Mrs. Mary E. Johnson, wife of Joseph Johnson, Esq., and daughter of Thos. W. Eubank of this county. "The subject of this notice was born Sept. 26th, 1852, professed religion and as baptized into the fellowship of the Glasgow Baptist Church in March, 1870, was married Sept. 16th 1873, and lived just 15 months after her marriage. She as one of the lovliest of women. Possessed of a good mind, a most amiable disposition, it is not strange that she should be admired and loved by all who knew her. At the time of her death she was member of the Baptist Church at Mt. Pisgah in this county, and died in full hope of blessed immortality. Exhorting her friends to meet her in Heaven, she expired peacefully. She leaves behing a sorrow-stricked husband, a little infant a few days old, and a long line of sorrowing relatives and friends. She was buried at her father's residence in the presence of a large assemblage of people."
