"Funeral services for Mrs. Lula Belle Mansfield Jones, 40, were conducted at Browder's Chapel on the Bowling Green road Sunday morning at 10:30 o'clock, the Rev. L. D. Robinson in charge. Burial was in the Walnut Hill cemetery. "Mrs. Jones died at the Samson Community Hospital last Friday around 6 p.m., where she had been undergoing treatment three days. Death was attributed to complications of diseases. She had been in declining health several years. "She was born and reared in the Browder's Chapel community where she resided practically all her life. For many years she had taught in the rural schools of Barren County and was widely known throughout the county. She was a devout member of the Browder's Chapel Baptist Church and was a fine christian character who held the esteem of a large acquaintance. "Surviving are her husband, Mr. Willie Jones; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. I. H. Mansfield, Glasgow, R. 1; two sisters, Mrs. Maggie M. France, Cave City, and Mrs. Madeline Forrest, Glasgow R. 1; four brothers, Messrs Fred and Jess Mansfield, Glasgow R. 1; Roy Mansfield, Beverton, Oregon and Lucian Mansfield, Sacramento, Calif."
