Died, Thursday, 2 Nov 2006, T J Samson Community Hospital, lengthy illness, age 
77
Former owner and editor and publisher of the Glasgow Daily Times, former 
Glasgow postmaster, former Secretary of the KY Commerce Cabinet. Moved to 
Glasgow from Waynesboro VA in 1957 to be president of the Glasgow Daily Times, 
member Glasgow Baptist Church. Helped locate the Corvette plant in Bowling 
Green and the Toyota plant in Georgetown KY.

Wife: Evelyn Furr Knicely
Three daughters: Kaye Gaines and husband William of Saint Petersburg Beach FL, 
Brenda Kramer of New Castle NH and Beverly K White and husband Michael of 
Glasgow
Two sons: Carroll Knicely Jr and wife Sydney of Glasgow and Daryl W Knicely and 
wife Lisa of Richmond KY
Four grandchildren: Michael Gaines and wife Andrea of FL, Brooklyne Mannes 
Donzelli of NH, Brenda and Chance Knicely of Richmond
Three great-grandchildren: Dante Donzelli of NY, Christian Carroll Maier of NH 
and Canyon Gaines of FL
Two brothers: Larry & Vic Knicely, both of VA.
Number of nieces and nephews
Preceded in death by:
Parents: Violet and B C Knicely Sr
Brother: B C Knicely Jr
Sister: Rosebud Crotts
Two grandchildren: Billy Ray Gaines and January Mannes
Services: Monday, 6 Nov 2006, 2 pm, Glasgow Baptist Church under direction of A 
F Crow and Son Funeral Home, burial Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
