Glasgow (KY) Weekly Times, 11 Mar 1896
"Mr. J. D. Mosby, of the Hickory Ridge neighborhood, died last Sunday at his 
home with pneumonia fever. He was an aged and respected citizen and was a 
soldier in the late war. He was buried in the presence of a large crowd of 
friends and relatives."
