Son of the late Mike and Mary Smith McGuire.
Retired farmer, employee of the Kentucky Highway Department, attended Temple 
Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors:
Wife: Lida Mae Buckley McGuire
Sons: Reid and wife Margaret of Beaumont, KY and Carl and wife Wanda of 
Glasgow.
Daughters: Maxine Birge and husband Delbery, Mary Lou Birge and husband William 
and Donnie Sue Kidd and husband Gerald, all of Glasgow.
12 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, six step-
great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Preceded also in death by:
Sons: Leon and Jimmy McGuire
Sister: Sarah Anderson
Brothers: Benny and Basil McGuire
Services: 1 pm Tuesday, 11 June 2002, A F Crow and Son Funeral Home, burial 
Poplar Log Cemetery.
