Former Southern Baptist minister who pastored the Glasgow Baptist Church for a
number of years. Had been serving as Associate Director of Paratnership Missions
for the Kentucky Baptist Convention. Member Shelbyville First Baptist Church,
past vice-president and program director of the Shelbyville Rotary Club, past
member of the Glasgow-Barren County Chamber of Commerce where he served as
Ambassador; member of Mensa International. Past member of the Kentucky Baptist
Convention Executive Board, past member of the Pastoral Advisory Board to the
Religion Department of Cumberland College, past member of the Church Relations
Committee, involved with the Kentucky-Russian Baptist Partnership.
Son of: Morgan B and Mary Harris Murphy, decd.
Survivors:
Wife: Robbie Andrews Murphy
Sons: Pat and Greg Murphy of Shelbyville
Grandchildren: Ben Neil, Jill, Kristen and Daniel Murphy.
Services: 10:30 am Tuesday, church, burial Grove Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
