OBIT: James Nichols, 1877, Barren Co. Submitted by Sandi Gorin NOTE: I have no connection, no further information and am not seeking additional information. "Death of James Nichols. "Man that is born of woman, is of few days and full of trouble. He cometh forth as a flower, and is cut down. He fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not; seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with thee. Thou hast appointed his bound, that, he cannot pass. "On Monday the 29th of October 1877, the angel of death visited the late residence of Sally Nichols, in Barren county, and summoned another one of the family to appear in that state which is unseen and unknown to all the living. Well may all the living shudder at making so long a leap in the dark; still, there is a comfort in the hope that angels will accompany the flying spirits home. James was the third son of the family - a young man about 33 years of age - he died after several years of pain and languishing, much esteemed by all who knew him; he had become the pet in his circle of friends and relatives."
