PATSY PETTY, widow of Mr. Jim Petty died suddenly at her home in the Becton country Monday, aged seventy-three years. "As the result of a broken hip, she had been on crutches for quite a number of years. He daughter, Miss Mary, had been to the mail box and upon her return to the house, found her mother lying in the doorway in a dying condition. She lived only a short while after this. " She was a most excellent woman and a fine neighbor. Her presence will be greatly missed in the community in which she lived. Hers was a splendid character and her countless number of friends will sincerely mourn her death. She was a dutiful and faithful mother and raised a family of splendid men and women. She was a member of the Baptist church. "Five children survive: Messrs. J. T. and R. B. Petty, of this county, and Mr. Will Petty, of Warren Conty, Miss Mary Petty and a daughter whose home is in Texas. "The burial occured in the only Manly burial ground near Railton, yesterday."
