Received his teaching degree from Western Kentucky State Teachers College, taught school for over 40 years in area schools. Interest in spelling led him to actively participate in local spelling bee competitions. Member Beckton Church of Christ; preached from 1928-200 for numerous congregations throughout KY and TN. Also traveled to India as a missionary on numerous occasions. Survivors: Sons: Bill and wife Barbara of Glasgow and Royce and wife Renna of Glasgow. Daughter: Jean Hoskins and husband Paul of Fort Pierce, FL Brothers: Ben and wife Gladys of Glasgow and William D and wife Mary Lee of Bowling Green, KY Grandchildren: Beth Greer and husband Jeff of Brandenburg, KY and Steve Hoskins and wife Bith of Ft. Pierce, FL. Great-grandchildren: Jay and Sarah Greer and Taylor and Page Hoskins. Preceded also in death by: Wife of 63 years: Ruth Lowe Page Sisters: Pearl Preston and Hallie Insco Grandson: Mark Hoskins. Services: 11 am Wednesday, 27 Dec 2000, A. F.
