He had been in ill health some time. "A native of Monroe county, he was born 19 March 1861, near Fountain Run and moved to Glasgow some forty years ago where he has since resided. Mr. Seay was engaged in the tobacco business several years and made two trips to Europe while connected with the tobacco business. He later took up farming. "On Nov. 24, 1894, he was married to Miss Martha Howard, of Fountain Run, who survives. One son, Mr. Howard Seay, was born to this union. He died Aug. 21, 1921, of blood poisoning. "Mr. Seay had been a member of the Fountain Run Baptist Church since 1895. He was also a Mason of long standing. "Funeral services were held at the Seay home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. T. F. Grider in charge. Burial was in the Fountain Run cemetery. "Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Martha Seay, and one brother, Mr. Arthur Seay of Ardmore, Oklahoma."
