Died: Wednesday, 5 Nov 2003, T J Samson Community Hospital, age 95.
Born: Oakley, TN
Son of the late Ada Arms and Walter F Sidwell
Retired educator after 42 years in the field of education as both coach and 
administrator. First football coach at Tompkisnville High School from 1943 to 
1946; a guiding influence in the creation of the Caverna Independent School 
System where he served as superintendent from 1949 to 1956. Served in the 
Barren County School System as coach at Park City High School and principal at 
Austin-Tracy High School for 13 years; served as principal at Hart County High 
School for three years and retired in 1972. Avid golfer and fisherman.
Survivors:
Son: Kenneth Sidwell Jr and wife Margaret of Nashville TN
Daughter: Linda Sidwell Thompson of Frankfort KY
Grandchildren: Tommy Sidwell of Franklin TN, Cole Evans of Versailles KY, Chris 
Pirtle and Kim Pirtle Whalen, both of Bowling Green KY
Nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews
Preceded also in death by:
Wives: Octavia Beaty Sidwell and Ethel Holmes Sidwell
Daughter: Ada Ann Evans
Services: 11 am Saturday, 8 Nov 2003, Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home, burial 
Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
