Son of the late George Milton and Rosie Bell Hoots Spears
Attended New Sulphur Baptist Church in Cumberland Co. Became a Mason in 1956, was a

member of the Cumberland Lodge #413 F&AM and the Edmonton Lodge #931 F&AM. Veteran 
of WW II.
Survivors:
Wife: Ozell Coop Spears
Sons: Jerry and wife Judy of Summer Shade KY, Keith and wife Susan of Glasgow and 
Charles Tony and wife Linda of Walkersville MD
Brothers: Delmer and Russell Spears, both of Indianapolis IN and Paul Spears of 
Cumberland Co.
Grandchildren: Tracy Beckwith, Charles Spears, Jennifer Downs, Melissa Spears and 
Jason Spears.
Great-grandchildren: Hallie Spears, Ashley Downs and Miah Downs
Preceded also in death by a sister; Reeble Groce Corbin
Services: 1 pm Monday, 19 May 2003, A F Crow and Son Funeral Home, burial Happy 
Valley Memorial Gardens.
