Glasgow (KY) Weekly Times, 4 Dec 1895
"Mr. Dave Travis, one of the best citizens of the Nobob coutnry, died at his 
home, near that place, a few days ago of synovitis of the leg. Mr. Travis was a 
fine gentleman and citizen, and an excellent man. He was about seventy-five 
years old at the time of his death."
