Native of IL but grew up in Glasgow. Later moved to Iowa where she married her
late husband, Floyd Tipton.
Retired as manager of Richlyns Dress Shop, avid fisherman. Member Tipton First
United Methodist Church, active member of the church's women's circle.
Survivors:
Son: Tommy Tipton and wife Becky of Cook Rapids, IA
Daughter: Joyce Tipton Kohl and husband Jack of Portageville, MO
Grandsons: David Kohl of KS, Tommy Kohl of MO, Bart Tipton of CA, Denny Kohl of KS
4 great-grandchildren
Sister: Pauline Wells of Gallatin, TN
Brothers: Herbert and Harry Pursley, Glasgow and Haskell Pursley of Louisville, KY.
Preceded also in death by:
Husband
Grandson: Bret Tipton
Parents: Joshua Sherman Parsley and Mattie Mora Stringfield Pursley
Brothers: James Howard, Rev Elmer Garland and Donald Ray Pursley
Sister: Lougene Pursley
Services: Tueday, 13 Sept 1999, Frye Funeral Home in Tipton, IA, interment in
the Tipton Masonic Cemetery.
