Glasgow (KY) Weekly Times, 2 Dec 1896. "Mrs. W. J. Walton, 
of the Hays neighborhood, died at her late home some 
two weeks ago with typhoid fevere. She was one of the 
most excellent ladies of the seciton in which she lived, 
and her death is sincerely mourned by all who knew her. 
She was the wife the only brother of ex-Pension agent, 
Dr. C. J. Walton, of Munfordville, and a sister of 
Mrs. P. S. Jordan of this place. Mrs. Walton was 
Miss Ruth Pedigo before her marriage. She leaves a 
husband and six children, three of whom are married. 
One of the daughters is bowed down with fever."
