Glasgow (KY) Weekly Times, 31 Mar 1897.
"Mr. Elijah Williams died last Wednesday at the residence of his son-in-law, 
Mr. Wert Ellis. Mr. Williams was eighty-four years of age, and died more of old 
age than any other complaint. He was a most excellent christian gentleman, and 
had been a devoted and faithful member of the Baptist church for several years. 
He was greatly esteemed and beloved by all who knew him. He has two sons and 
four daughters who survive him. The remains were interred Thursday evening last 
in the family burying ground at his old home."
