Glasgow (KY) Weekly Times, 19 Nov 1874.
"George B. Whitney, of Peter's Creek, was born October 26th, 1839 and died of 
consumption on the 19th of October, 1874, and Sammy Whitney was born on the 
6th of February, 1871 and died of croup Oct. 9th, 1874."

G. B. Whitney buried at the Whitney Cemetery.
No record of Sammy Whitney there.
