Died: Sunday, 10 March 2002, residence, age 67.
First African-American member of the Glasgow Police Department and a former 
employee of the state hospital.Member Ebenezer Baptist Church where he 
remained until his death. Served as prayer meeting leader, church treasurer, 
brotherhood chorus executive board of Zion
District and treasurer of Zion District.
Born: Metcalfe Co KY
Son of the late Delifies and Mrs. Dorothy Siddons Wood of Rowletts,TX who 
survives.
Also survived by:
Wife of 46 years: Regina Mary Magdalene Davidson Wood
Children: Louis Wood, Aldwin Wood, Sally Hayes, Ricky Wood, Gwendolyn Wood, 
Tina Bybee and Dallies E Wood, all of Glasgow.
Mother-in-law: Mrs. Sallie Woodward, Glasgow
Sister; Gardina Hayes, Louisville, KY
Brothers; Delmer Wood of Cave City, KY and Buford Wood of Knob Lick, KY
Four daughters-in-law, 13 grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, host of 
nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Services 1 pm Wednesday, 13 March 2002, church (Metcalfe Co), Watts Funeral 
Home in charge of arrangements, burial Wood Family Cemetery in Savoyard, KY.
