Leonard Christy, a Corp. of Company B, 33d Regiment Ky. Inf. Volunteers was enrolled on the 20th day of August, 1862, at Bowling Green, and is reported on muster in roll dated Sept. 13/62 present. On muster roll from muster in to April 23/63 present. No roll to April 30/63 on file. On rolls to Feby 29/64 - present. This Regiment was consolidated with and became the 26th Ky. Vols. April 7/64. On muster rolls of Co. H of that Regt to June 30/64 present - No roll to Aug 31/64 on file. To Oct. 31/64 present. To Dec. 31/64 absent sick in Hospt. Nashville, Tenn. same report to Feby 28/65. On roll to June 30/65 present. He was mustered out with Co. June 30/65 at Salisbury, N.C. No returns of the 33d on file prior to June 1863. The records of this office furnish no evidence of alleged disabilities; nature of sickness in December 1864 not state. Regtl. Hospital records of 26th & 33d Ky Vols are not on file. March 21, 1879. /s/ Leonard Christy Date of reply May 4th, 1898 Declaration for Pension State of Kentucky County of Barren This 18 day of Nov A.D. one thousand nine hundred and seven personally appeared before me, a Notary Public within and for the county and State aforesaid Leonard Christy, who being duly sworn according to law, declared that he is 65 years of age, and a resident of Railton, county of Barren, State of Kentucky; and that he is the identical person who was enrolled at Bowling Green Ky under the name of Leonard Christy on the 20 day of Aug, 1862 as a private in Co. B. 33 Reg. Ky Vol. Infantry in the service of the United States in the Civil war and was HONORABLY DISCHARGED at Salisbury, N.C. on the 30 day of June, 1865. That he also served part of his time in Co. H. 26 Reg. Ky. Vol. Inft. That he was not employed in the military or naval service of the United States otherwise htan as stated above. That his personal description at enlistment was as follows: Height 5 feet 9 inches; complexion fair; color of eyes, blue; color of hair, yellow; that his occu- pation was farmer; that he was born Nov. 12th, 1842 at Hydro, Warren Co. Ky. That his several places of residence since leaving the service have been as follows: Railton, Barren Co., Ky continously. That he is now a pensioner. That he has heretofore applied for pension No. of Certificate 286478. That he makes this declaration for the purpose of being placed on the pension roll of the United States under the provisions of the act of February 6, 1907. Dillingham, residing in Smith Grove and G. A. Wilcoxson, residing in Smith Grove, Ky, persons whom I certify to be respectabe and entitled to credit, and who, being by me duly sworn, say that they were present and saw Leonard Christy, the claimant, sign his name (or make his mark) to the foregoing declaration; that they have every reason to believe, from the appearance of the claimant and their acquanintance with him of 50 years and _____ years respectively, that he is the indentical person he represents himself to be, and that they have no interest in the prosecution of this claim. /s/ J.
