"Miss Sammye Rose Duval and Mr. Clarke Speck, of Beckton, were united in marriage Wednesday afternoon at Rich Pond, by Rev. B. F. Rogers. The couple were accompanied by the bride's nephew, Mr. Willard Brookshire and Miss Katherine Hoover. "Mr. Speck is the young son of Mr. J. M. Speck and is a most popular and excellent gentleman and successful young farmer. The bride is an exceedingly attractive and accomplished young lady, and a favorite with all who know her. She is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Duval - than whom there are no more excellent people - and is generatlly regarded as one of the prettiest girls in Barren county. "The young couple will make their home with the father of the groom for a time, at least."
