I  Sophia Snoddy of the county of Barren, state of Kentucky being at this time 
much afflicted in body, but in the enjoyment of reason and memory do make and 
ordain this my last request as follows: First, 1st My wearing apparel I wish 
to be equally divided
between my daughters, Nancy Lewis and Mary Parrish, 2nd  It is my wish  and 
desire, that my money be divided in the following manner towit.  My grandson 
William E. Snoddy I leave him at my death, one dollar, my grandson Robert C. 
Snoddy, I leave him 50 cents, the balance of my money I wish equally divided 
between Nancy Lewis, Mary Parrish, and my granddaughter, Mary Ann Snoddy. __ 
to be laid out in something to mourn  for me.  3rd my large old trunk I leave 
to Mary Parrish, 4th my little old trunk I leave my grand daughter Mary Ann 
Snoddy, 5th I give my son Cary A. Snoddy my present crop of corn that’s now 
growing, my ____ patches, cotton patch, potatoe patch and 6th I do appoint my 
son Cary A. Snoddy executor to carry this my last request into effect this 
10th of May 1831.

                                                        The foregoing writing 
purporting to be the will of Sophia Snoddy deceased was produced in court and 
proven by the _______ Ann Barlow and Rachel Everett to to be prounced by the 
deceased Sophia Snoddy (in substance to be her last will, _________ said
