!DEED Bath County, Kentucky Deed Book B, page 534-535 This indenture made this twenty ninth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nineteen between Joseph Kelsoe of the county of Bath and the state of Kentucky of the one part and Charles Whittington of the county and state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Joseph Kelsoe for and in consideration of the sum of Three hundred and fifty dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof I now hereby acknowledge and am freely satisfy paid have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain, and seel and confirm unto the said Charles Whittington his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns the following tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the county of Bath on the waters of Slate Creek containing seventy five acres and bounded as follows to wit. Beginning at a stake on the west side of the Furnace Road on Tripletts original line running thence with said line S 25 2/30 E 31.5 poles to a stake thence S 64 W 31.5 poles to a stake thence North 20 degrees W 31.5 poles to a stake near a sugar tree and beech thence N 64 degrees 30min East 29 poles to the beginning. Together with all and singular the premises there unto belonging or in anywise appertaining to have and to hold the said hereby land as conveyed with the appurtenances thereunto Belonging unto him the said Charles Whittington his heirs and assigns forever. and the said Joseph Kelsoe for himself his heirs to the title to the afforesaid land and premises unto him the said Charles Whittington his heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of him the said Joseph Chelsoe and against the claim or claims of all and every other person or persons whatsoever. Will warrant and forever defend by these presents in testimony whereof the said Joseph Kelsoe hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and date first above written. Sealed and delivered in presents of noone Signed Joseph Kelsoe Bath County, This deed of conveyance from Joseph Kelsoe to Charles Whittington was this day acknowledged before me by the said Joseph Chelsoe to be his act and deed for the purposes therein contained whereupon the same is truly recorded in my office as the law directs.
