!DEED Bath County, Kentucky, Land Deed Book Q, page 150 This indenture made and entered into this 25th day of February 1850 by and between Charles Whittington of the county of Bath and State of Kentucky of the first part and James H Maze of the county and state aforesaid of the second part. Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum one hundred and eighty dollars in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have this day bargained, and sold and by these presents do grant, alien, and convey unto the said James H Maze the following described tract or parcel of land lying in the county of Bath and on the waters of Rose Run and bounded as follows Beginning at Samuel Hails corner thence S 65 degrees E 30 poles to a black ash thence S 18degrees W 69 5 tenths poles to two small red oaks and dogwood corner to maze thence with Mazes line 51 degrees, W 69.7 poles to Harts Corner a stake on the west bank of a branch thence with Harts line N 44 degrees, E 53.7 poles to a stake in said Branch thence North 68 degrees, E 27 poles to the beginning Containing 20 acres to have and to hold unto the said James H Maze his heirs and assigns forever. And the party of the first part will forever warrant and defend the title to said tract of land unto said James H Maze forever. In testimony whereof the party of the first part have hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal this day and date above written.
