Be it remembered that before me A J Ewing Presiding Judge of the Bath County Court and Ex Officio a Justice of the Peach within and for the county and state aforesaid personally came Fields Becraft who being duly sworn on oath says that he is Sixty One years of age having been born in the year 1811. as he has always understoof from his parents and as he believes. That he now resides in said county and state and has so resided for more than forty years last part. That he is the third child of the family of children of the marriage of Benjamin and Mary Becraft. That they had a family of nine children seven of them still living. That his father died in Bath County Kentucky in the year 1833 of the cholera. That he was living with them his father and mother at the time of his death. That his mother Mary Becraft who is an applicant for a pension under the act of Feby 14th 1871 is still alive resides with one other son Robt Becraft in said county and state. That her son James Becraft is older than the offiant and resides in Montgomery County Ky. Her other children including the offiant reside in this county and are named Sally Becraft, Mollie Blevins wife of Danl Blevins, Betsy Shultz wife of O P Shultz, Polly Shultz wife of Saml Shultz. That he never heard the fact of the marriage of his said parents questioned. That he has no interest in thi claim farther than that he would like for his mother to get her pension as she needs it in her old age and is entitled to it under the law.
