He volunteered at County of Bath State of Kentucky is 5 feet 10 inches high, Fair complexion, Blue eyes, grey hair, and by occupation when enlisted a Wheelright. This Certificate of Discharge is given said JOHN McLAIN the 1st day of January, 1863, at Louisville County of Jefferson State of Kentucky he being actually discharged from service at this date and place.
