Week of November 26-December 3, 1998 Robert Adams, 34, of Owingsville passes away after battling cancer Robert Adams, age 34, of Adams Road, passed away at his residence, Saturday, November 21, 1998, after battling cancer. He was born November 4, 1964 in Wayne County, West Virginia to Bob and Nettie Hardwick Adams of Grayson. He worked in Owingsville as a mechanic. Survivors include his parents, Bob and Nettie Adams; his wife, Mary Damron Adams of Owingsville; four stepsons, Roy Damron, Bobby Church, John Church and Jamie Church all of Owingsville; three step-daughters, Nancy Burton, Betty Highley and Kathy Reed all of Owingsville; three brothers, William Audie Adams and John Adams, both of Grayson and Charlie Adams of Ashland; four sisters, Hazel Childers, Loretta Johnston, Teresa Daniels all of Grayson and Grace Hicks of Louisa; and twelve step-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Richardson Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 25, 1998 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Larry Pintuck officiating. Burial followed in the Damron and Adams Cemetery.
