Date: Mon, 28 Jun 1999 23:49:30 -0400 From: "Elizabeth Smith" ********************************** Mrs. Broughton Buried Here Mrs. Dee Broughton who was the unfortunate victim of an automobile accident at "Dead Man's Curve" on the Lexington-Paris pike, last Saturday, in which several others were injured but she the only one killed, was a daughter of Mr. William Sorrell, of Bath county, and a sister of Mrs. Thomas Steele and Mrs. Claude Foley, both also of this county. She was born and lived for many years here but at the time of the accident was employed in the family of a Paris man and it was with this family that she was returning after having motored to Lexington when the accident occurred. Mrs. Broughton was 36 years of age and is survived by her husband, two daughters and one son. The remains were brought to this city Monday and buried in Machpelah cemetery.
