Bath County News-Outlook, 1/17 - 1/24 2002, p.2
  Esther Ruth Beck, age 92, of Teresa Dr. in Owingsville, passed away Wed., 
Jan. 9, 2002, at her residence after a long illness.  She was born on Nov. 24, 
1909, in Elgin City, IL to the late George and Pauline Hachtel.  She was 
retired from American Mutual Insurance Co. in Lexington and a member of 
Southland Christian Church in Lexington.
  Survivors include her husband, Edwin R. Beck; two sons, Richard E. Beck, 
Erlanger and Douglas J. Beck, Owingsville; three grandchildren; five great-
grandchildren; two nephews; and one niece.
  Funeral Services were held at 11 a.m. on Sat., Jan 12, 2002 at Ritchie Hunt 
Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne B. Smith and Rev. Lowell Rice officiating.  
Burial was at the Owingsville Cemetery.
