Mr. Crouch was stricken while sitting in his chair before the fire and died in a few minutes. He had been in declining health for nearly a year. He was a son of the late Thomas Crouch, who came of one of the early Bath county families, and was widely connected in this county. He is survived by his wife and one daughter. Funeral services were held at the residence Friday, April 1, conducted by the Rev. Welsh. Burial was in the Crouch family cemetery
